Pralines and nougats are almost of the same type, they only differ in the preparation of the ingredient. Fans of the National Football League will recognize the names of Tony Dungy and Mike Tomlin as not only accomplished African American head coaches, but also as great coaches who led their teams to Super Bowl victories. But, during a time when the league became scrutinized for consistently looking over Blacks for head coaching positions, Art Shell stood alone as the first African American in modern NFL history entrusted to lead an entire franchise.
